The ECACC Fundamentals of Cell Culture is a four day course that aims to deliver a balance of theory, essential techniques and best practices covering the entire cell culture workflow from culture initiation from frozen vials and the generation of primary cultures, the maintenance and cryopreservation and quality control and validation of cell banks through to the delivery of cell cultures to a variety of applications and cell based assays and qualitative and quantitative cell culture.

Drawing on over 30 years of experience of providing authentic, pure and valid cell cultures ECACC will take you through the biology, characterisation and selection of cell lines and there will be an introduction to stem cell biology, novel 3D cell culture strategies and experimental design and troubleshooting in the cell culture lab. The course is delivered by a team comprising PHE cell culture experts and regular invited lecturers.

The course includes a comprehensive training manual, hands on practical training, lunch and refreshments. There are limited spaces remaining for the October course.
